When the POTF coin line was in being created, the folks at Kenner toyed with having the coins frosted, such as the Lando coin seen above.  This process is done by striking the coin twice, much like normal coin proof sets are created.  The added contrast is incredible in that the image really stands out, even from a distance.  Unfortunately, this addition didn't help the bottom line and was scrapped.  The Lando General coin is the only coin which exhibits the frosting.
