As you can see above, this coin exhibits the standard POTF logo seen on most of the 62 production coins.  However, this coin was never released to the public with this logo.  As you can see here, the coin was only released with the Star Wars logo.  Currently, there are only 10 coins in this alternate logo set.  Coins with the Star Wars logo, but not found with the alternate logo include Anakin Skywalker, Barada, Imperial Dignitary, Lando General, Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper Outfit, and Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Pilot Outfit.  Why the coins were created is still a mystery.  We know of the prototype gold R2-D2 coin which had the newer logo, and has been seen on a mockup for the 93-back POTF cardback, but the purpose of these coins are still a mystery.
